Yoga With Fi

Yoga Classes

Modern day yoga seems to have lost the reason the practice was created, to cultivate the observer mindset. With a strong vipassana meditation background, Fiona encourages you to notice what you experience while in each shape. The holds are much longer than most flow style practices, so you have the chance to notice the tendencies of your mind and how you respond to what you experience. This style is closer to the traditional forms of yoga which emphasise the observer mindset, rather than catering for a busy mind that doesn't want to sit still. In Fi's classes you will learn to be still and observe what arises in the body and the mind. This is how you take back control of the mind, rather than letting it control you. It is from becoming the observer that true empowerment is born. This is the doorway to inner peace. The calmness of mind that can be experienced after a flow style practice, is only temporary. The quality of mind you cultivate by being in stillness and observing, this is real lasting change.

"I had such a healing day at this magnificence place under the guidance of Fiona. My brain went to such a deep rest and reset. So much needed, highly recommend her."

-Sabrina Forzani

"My partner and I did yoga with Fiona. Both of us felt a sense of relaxation during and after the class. My partner had sore legs beforehand due to bike riding but felt no pain after the class. Fiona was attentive to both of us and her other students adjusting where needed our movements. Highly recommend yoga with Fiona. We for sure would like to attend next time we are in the area."

-Rhonda Dwyer
